About Me

​​The Idea

​

When I started to look around for a craft club for my 7 year old, I wanted somewhere she could explore art & crafts outside the home. I didn't find much in the way of creative classes, so I decided to set one up.

​

This is about more than just drawing & painting. I've found that children often label themselves as not good at drawing, and I want to encourage all children, whether they enjoy drawing or not, to come and explore, use their amazing imaginations and create something of their own. It doesn't have to be perfect, but I hope that with encouragement and guidance they will enjoy being creative, and proudly show you their creations.

My Background

​

I studied Graphic Design & Photography after high school, then found myself in various roles until I decided to take a leap and work for myself. For the past 13 years I have enjoyed running a business restoring and selling vintage furniture, whilst also co-running a vintage events company. 

​

I love being creative and enjoy the freedom of working for me, it's allowed me to move around the country and finally settle in lovely York! Plus, and most importantly, it's allowed me to be flexible to work around having a family too.

The Craft Club

My older daughter loves to craft and create. I really enjoy coming up with new ideas with her and I hope to bring that creative energy to class. I want to allow kids the space and freedom to spend time enjoying their brilliant imaginations and be proud of what they create.
